Leicester City's Champions League hero says they are focusing on winning the Europa League.

Marc Albrighton

is a part of

Leicester City

’s history. He has not spent a decade in the club but he has won the Premier League with the Foxes and scored the first goal in the Champions League in Leicester’s history.

After winning the Premier League, Ranieri’s squad continued their performance in the Champions League and reached the 1/8 stage. This year under another manager, they are competing for the Europa League glory. Albrighton says they are focused on the trophy.

Albrighton,31, who joined Leicester in 2014, said:

“I do think the Europa League is going to be special this year. We are looking to do really well in it and go as far as we can. That will create special moments during games.

“We as a group of players are just as determined as we would be in the Champions League with a full stadium. We have a platform to create something special and put ourselves further in Leicester folklore.

“We have spoken about what a good opportunity it is for us. We have seen English clubs do well in it in previous years. We are looking to do the same.

“We have a big squad here and if we were just fighting on one front it would decrease game time and leave players unhappy.”
