Kylian Mbappe finally ended his run of nine games without a goal in the Champions with a brace against BasakSehir.

PSG

manager

Thomas Tuchel

praised

Neymar

for letting

Mbappe

stand behind the penalty spot. Although the Brazilian had the chance to complete his hat-trick in the first half from the spot-kick he handed Mbappe the opportunity to end his goal drought in the Champions League.

Mbappe seized the chance as he converted the penalty and add another goal as PSG moved top spot in Group H ahead of RB Leipzig with a 5-1 victory, with the Brazilian completing his hat-trick in the second half.

Tuchel was content after he saw Neymar’s gesture.

"It's a great gesture," Tuchel said in his post-game press conference. "He gave that ball away that would've been a hat-trick.

"It is also not usual for Ney to score three goals in the same game. He gave the ball to Kylian to end his long streak without scoring in the Champions League.

"Neymar's heart is very big. He always thinks of his team-mates. He knows very well how important it is for forwards and for Kylian to score."
