Toni urges Prandelli to place Fiorentina back to “where they deserve”

The former Italy international hopes the Italian club would regain their previous position in Serie A competition.

between 2005 and 2007, has begged the team’s coach,

Cesare Prandelli

, to

“bring the Viola back where they deserve to be”.

Toni and Prandell, who once fought together in Fiorentina’s attacking line, hope things will change for the team after their 1-1 draw with

Genoa

.

“Perhaps the wind has changed,”

Prandelli told

Sky Sport Italia

after the match.

“The goal of [Nikola] Milenkovic has to be a turning point.”

“We take this point at this stage and keep working.”

Toni replied to the coach’s statements saying:

“Please bring Fiorentina back where they deserve to be.”

Fiorentina currently sit 17th in the league table with 10 games played.
