AC Milan want Ibrahimović to stay

The team’s sporting director revealed that the Serie A leaders will do whatever they can to keep the Swedish player on their side.

seems to be on the verge of another contract extension with

AC Milan

as the team’s sporting director, Frederic Massara, admitted that the club wants the Swedish striker to extend his stay for

“a long time”

with the Rossoneri.

Ibrahimović, who is currently in a recovery process due to an injury, is expected to start the negotiations on his contract with the hope of staying for a loner while.

“Ibra is now with us and we have not yet talked about a renewal,”

Massara told

“We will do it at the right moment. It will depend a lot on him, on his state of mind and on his desire."

“So far he has shown that he wants to stay here. I think Milan are also giving him a lot in terms of desire. We hope to have him with us for a long time.”

The 39-year-old striker also talked about his plans saying:

“I’m not going to stop next year, I’ll play either at Milan or elsewhere.”

Milan also hope to sign a permanent deal with their loan players

Massara added on Milan’s plans for the two loanees saying:

“The current market has changed a lot, these loan formulas are very much in vogue in this period.”

“We are happy with Diaz and Dalot, in due course we will sit at the table with the respective clubs and evaluate what to do.”
