Laporta on convincing Messi to stay
Barca presidential elections favorite spoke of how he plans to make the Argentine extend his stay with the Catalonians.

Barcelona, the team’s former president and current favorite to win the club’s presidential elections,
Joan Laporta
revealed how he is planning to convince the player to stay in Barca.
“You have to be creative. Messi is not guided by money. We must convince Leo that Barcelona will have a competitive team, capable of winning the Champions League again. This is necessary and more valuable to Leo,”
said Laporta.
“Messi is the best player in the world, and possibly in history. What we have to keep in mind is that Leo loves Barcelona; he has shown it many times. He is comfortable in the city and the club.”
“He knows that whenever I have made him a proposal, it has been fulfilled.”

, who is another one of the presidency candidates, also gave similar promises with the hope of brining Xavi as a coach when he wins the elections.
