Injured Dembele; a never-ending nightmare

Sun 06 December 2020 | 15:16

A day after Barcelona's unbelievable loss to Cadiz, the club's medical team announced the injury of Ousmane Dembele. This is the tenth time that the French star is getting injured in Barcelona.

Barcelona

announced the injury of

Ousmane Dembele

a few minutes ago. The French star, who was surprisingly not injured in the new season, played a half against

Cadiz

last night and it seems he have had a problem at the end of the game.

In last night's game,

Dembele

suffered a

hamstring elongation

in his right leg, and this muscle injury will probably keep him out of action for several weeks.

There is a statement on Barcelona official website:

“Tests on Sunday morning, December 6, have shown that first-team player Ousmane Dembele has a hamstring elongation.

“He will therefore not be considered for selection and the evolution of the injury will determine his availability.

“Against Cadiz, the French winger, coming off the bench, participated in his 12th game of the year and had, to that point, scored four goals."

Although the exact time for Dembele's absence has not been announced, he will definitely miss the next two games against

Juventus

and

Levante

.

Barcelona boss

Ronald Koeman

was delighted to have Dembele in the squad and his injury is undoubtedly bad news for the Dutchman.

Barca

are in poor shape after last night's defeat against Cadiz in LaLiga and Dembele's injury was not what the staff expected. Dembele is Barcelona's latest injury after

Gerard Pique

,

Ansu Fati

and

Sergio Roberto

.
