Despite recent rumors, Dortmund sporting director stated that they won’t be returning the Los Blancos loanee to his former home.

According to

Borussia Dortmund

sporting Director,

Michael Zorc

won’t be back to

Real Madrid

while there is still time to his contract. Though the 18-year-old had the chance to play for a few minutes with his current team, Zorc denied any rumors regarding the player returning to Spain before the end of his contract.

"Basically, we don't have that idea,"

said Zorc.

"We have patience with him. I hope he has it too.”

"In such cases we make it a two-year loan. A one-year loan would be borderline."

Zorc being aware of the player’s struggles added:

"He did not have an easy start with us.”

"[He] came to us after a period of several months in which he did not play. And now the infection has set him back again."

Borussia Dortmund continue their efforts to take the lead from their Bundesliga opponent

Bayern Munich

after they have qualified for the next round of the

Champions League
