Sergino Dest: “Barcelona is the best place for me.”
The USMNT star, Sergino Dest, signed a contract with the Catalan club last summer from Ajax. Bayern Munich were trying hard to resurrect a deal they had been working on since January, but Dest penned a five-year deal at Camp Nou.

reveals why he decided to move to
Barcelona
and talks about his first days at the club.
“I was not nervous at all [on my debut],” he said. “I’m ready and happy to play. If I was nervous I should never have come to Barcelona. For me, this is the best place to show what I have, to do my best and help the team.
“Why Barcelona and not Bayern? It wasn’t easy, but Barcelona are the club of my dreams. That’s why I chose them. I saw possibilities, they had brought in new players.
“Koeman also personally wanted me, so I thought they’d have a good plan in place for me. And now, I’m playing so I’m happy. I owe [Koeman] this opportunity because you never know when it will arise again.”
Dest
has been one of Barcelona’s best players since the start of the season and he is claiming to be a trustworthy right-back for the club since Dani Alvez.
Barcelona will take on Cadiz tonight considering that they have won all their last 3 games, scoring 11 goals and conceding none.
