Former Lille player, Pepe never found his form in Arsenal.

Top teams wanted to sign

but it was

who could finish the deal. The signed Pepe for an amount of money and Arsenal fans believed that they eventually have a new young star in their team.

The French winger was not lucky enough to even have a honeymoon in England. Under Emery’s era, he was not successful and lacked enough playing time. Arsenal fans thought the time would come, a new manager came but Pepe’s time has not arrived yet.

However, Campbell believes that the 25 years old player who scored 4 goals in 14 appearances this season will eventually, shine. Asked if Arsenal made a mistake in bringing Pepe to the club, the former striker told Football Insider:

“I do not think they made an error in his signing, not at all.

Mikel Arteta

wants to work with him. I think he has a big future at the club because he is a very talented player.

“He has done some things that were not quite right, one of them being the sending off at Leeds.

"He is suffering right now because he cannot help the team in the Premier League but he will come back better.

“With a bit of luck, everything will be fine when he does return.”
