Solskjaer proud of Erling Haaland for breaking his record

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that Haaland will soon break his Champions League goalscoring record and he is happy about this.

has been a scoring machine since the first day he got recognized. The Norwegian young striker is breaking records on daily basis and it looks like no one can stop him from breaking more records.

, former player and current manager of Manchester United got the record for most goals scored in the Champions League as a Norwegian. He has scored 20 goals in the competition throughout his career.  Former Aston Villa striker John Carew is next on the list with 18 goals, while Haaland is just two goals behind after scoring a combined total of 16 in the Champions League across his spells at Red Bull Salzburg and Dortmund.

Ole says he is happy to see the young striker getting close to breaking his record.

"He’ll beat it and very quickly, that’s for sure.

"The boy has had a great start to his career.

"It was really good to work with him, to see the potential in him, and some part of me feels proud of having a little bit of an input in such a rise.

"I’m sure Erling will score loads in the Champions League."
