Sun 29 November 2020 | 19:06

Ronald Koeman provided an update on Clement Lenglet's injury after Barcelona's 4-0 victory over Osasuna on Sunday in Primera Division.

The French international had to leave the pitch with pain in his ankle during the second half, for now,

Barcelona

has no competent senior full-backs as Gerard Pique, Ronald Araujo, and Samuel Umtiti are out of action.

Koeman

believes Lenglet's problem isn't excessively serious however says the club must stand by until tomorrow to learn how long he must be sidelined.

“I have spoken with the doctor and it seems we will have to wait for tomorrow for tests, but it does not seem that that serious. I don’t know about Wednesday’s game but I hope it’s nothing major.”

Barcelona's next match is against Ferenvaros in the

Champions League

group-stage and afterward, face Cadiz in

La Liga

which sits at 6th place on the table. Araujo and Umtiti have been back in the training ground, however, it's not satisfactory yet when they may be good for the first-team lineup.

Ergo,

Mingueza

can anticipate more playing time, despite the fact that Koeman had a number of advice and warnings for the adolescent after the game.

“I told him that he played really well, but he lost the ball two times in areas where you cannot lose it. We spoke about that. One poor touch can lead to a chance for the opponent. You can have a good game, but two mistakes can cost you the match. He has to learn and improve.”

Blaugrana is probably going to utilize Mingueza again in midweek because of their defender crisis. Frenkie de Jong could likewise play as center-back if necessary.
