McTominay: “Pogba is very misunderstood”

Sat 28 November 2020 | 21:34

The Scottish midfielder of the Red Devils supported his French teammate.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær

's side have had a disappointing start to the

Premier League

this season and have not shown themselves as a serious contender for the championship title.

Manchester United

midfielder

Paul Pogba

has not performed well this season either. The situation in recent months has been so difficult for Pogba that he himself recently admitted that he is going through the most difficult period of his sport life.

Some claim that the player does not have the motivation to play at Old Trafford.

But now his teammate

McTominay

has come out in support of him, believing that many people are unable to understand Pogba for who he really is.

“I remember watching Pogba at Juventus when I was in the reserves at United,”

McTominay said

"I was like: 'This guy is ridiculous,

"People don't know him. People don't. They don't know him for who he is. He is very misunderstood, in my opinion, for the way he is, his personality and what he brings the team.

"Obviously he can have a bad game, everyone can have a bad game but because it's Paul Pogba it's magnified to a different level.

"When he plays well, he's up there with the very best. Top class."
