Veteran Barcelona star Sergio Busquets is starting to come back to first-team action and is speeding up his recovery.

Ronald Koeman took training this Thursday morning to resume work after last Tuesday’s Champions League win over Dynamo Kyiv.

Only players who didn’t participate in their countries' match over the international break were in the training, alongside Busquets.

Unlike Gerard Pique, Ronald Araujo, Sergi Roberto, Ansu Fati, and Samuel Umtiti, whose long-term injuries made it to Barcelona's latest news, Busquets is busy doing fieldwork as he recovers.

Busquets sustained the injury during the Nations League match with Switzerland on November 14th and missed the loss against Atletico Madrid as well as the Champions League match in Ukraine. His absence was announced as fifteen days.

Next match for Barcelona is against Osasuna at Camp Nou on Sunday. The whole group will train together on Friday. The Azulgrana are currently 12 points behind league leaders Real Sociedad and just four clear of bottom-placed Celta Vigo.
