The Spanish coach spoke about the three players who were linked to Arsenal.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has denied rumors linking Sheffield United star Sander Berge with a move to Emirates but didn't brush off reports about Christian Eriksen joining Gunners.
The former Tottenham midfielder, who joined Inter last summer for £17 million, is not having a good time in Italy, and there has been a lot of talk about his departure in January. Arsenal could reportedly sign the Danish star for £ 12 million, and Arteta has avoided talking about the transfer and the possibility of Eriksen joining him ahead of his side's Europa League clash with Molde.
“There are a lot of players out there that can improve any team,”
“But obviously we are not going to discuss individuals.”
However, the Spanish coach reacted to rumors that Sander Berge had joined his team and denied the possibility.
“We haven’t shown any interest in the player,”
said the Gunners boss
. “He’s a Sheffield United player and we haven’t done anything at all.”
Arteta's former teammate Jack Wilshere is also currently a free agent and recently claimed that returning to Arsenal would be his dream. Arteta also spoke about him.
“We haven’t analysed that situation,”
“What I can say about Jack is as a player, as a team-mate and as a person, that I rate him really highly.
“But unfortunately at the moment we haven’t looked at that, we are focused on the players we have and trying to do the best we can with them.”
