Inter midfielder Nicolò Barella has played in all competitive games for Inter this season and believes he has been growing and improving under Conte.

Nicolò Barella

was first loaned and then transferred from

Cagliari

to

Inter

in July 2019 and September 2020 respectively.

During his time at Inter, he has impressed Conte and has been in all competitive games for the Nerazzurri this term.

Barella believes that

Conte

has helped him improve and he has matured working under him.

“The mezzala acts as a link between attack and defense, I play the role in my own way,” the 23-year-old midfielder said.

“Here at Inter, a midfielder must know how to play both phases. I want to be the player the coach asks me to be.

“He has helped me this year. I feel I have grown in managing the different matches. Now, I know when to enter the box, when to wait or make the decisive play.”
