Karim Benzema has been doing solitary training sessions to be fit in time as Real Madrid faces Inter Milan in Champions League on Wednesday night.
Benzema has been struggling with a muscle fatigue and trained alone on Sunday. It’s not clear whether he can recover and be ready to travel to San Siro.
So far this season, Benzema has scored six goals in eleven matches, and is Madrid’s main concern. Last season probably his finest performance for Real Madrid, he scored 27 goals in 48 games as they won the title.
Manager Zinedine Zidane is hoping to have French forward back for the game against Inter Milan that’s why he didn’t let him play in their last game against Villarreal on Saturday.
It’s likely to miss the game against Inter Milan if he fails to be fit and practice with the team.
Spanish Giants are now standing in third place in Champions League Group B, just ahead of their Wednesday opponent Inter.
