The former professional footballer, Craig Burley, believes Tottenham’s recent title holding will not last long and the Blues will win the title challenge.

The pundit considers

“much more talented” than the

. He is certain that the Blues will take the lead from the current title contender. Tottenham’s Saturday thumping 2-0 defeat over Man City put them on top of the list. The Blues are only two points behind, with the two title contenders ready to compete next weekend at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho is promising Tottenham the silverware they have long been waiting for with his ploy. It’s what the Spurs have been missing before 2019.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are listed as dark horses in fighting over the title even after five defeats in all competitions.

Burley’s statements denied the fact that Chelsea are playing catch-up with the Spurs concerning their ability given Lampard’s talent recruitment.

The former Chelsea favorite stated: "Oh yeah. I think Chelsea are a much more talented team than Spurs. Tottenham have a good squad but Chelsea have an unbelievable amount of attacking players. They got great experience in with the signing of Thiago Silva, they’ve got a natural left-back in Ben Chilwell. The rise of Reece James has been meteoric - he’s taking his game to a new level.”

He added: "They’ve strengthened their goalkeeper situation and Frank [Lampard] has mentioned that N’Golo Kante is looking like the player he was a couple of years ago.”

Lampard is going to train the team for a return to Champion League action before their Tuesday match with Rennes. Chelsea will have two extra days before facing the Spurs.
