Sun 22 November 2020 | 14:23

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has spoken about the situation of Eriksen and that they are ready to let the player leave.

There have been many speculations about the future of

Christian Eriksen

in Inter. The Danish midfielder joined

Inter

from

Spurs

last season but never became a starter for

Conte

. According to reports,

Conte

does not want the player any more and

Inter

is ready to sell him. He was sitting on the bench for the game against Torino.

Beppe Marotta, Inter CEO has also said that they are ready to let

Eriksen

leave during the January transfer window.

“I always say that I make the choices for the good of Inter,”

Antonio Conte

said at a press conference on the eve of the game.

“I think

Christian

had plenty of opportunities, he played more than other players. He will start or come off the bench when I deem it appropriate, otherwise, I will make other decisions.”

“Conte replied exhaustively, I add that a club should never hold a player if he asks to leave,” Marotta told Dazn.

Eriksen

is behaving like a professional, he is a player available to Conte and what the coach does is in respect of the player and the club.

Eriksen

hasn’t made any request but when the right time comes we’ll try to find the right combinations.”
