“Now comes a generation that is very concerned about the environment,” Haro stated. “Before, success was accepted without taking values into account. No longer.”
Among the five main European League, in 2019,Betis
took the first step in joining Climate Neutral Now, which is an initiative launched in 2015 by UN Climate Change.Forest Green Rovers
in England has also signed up.
Ramon Alcaron, a director of Betis’ corporate sector, stated, “Betis is different. We are the mirror of the people, the least hated team in Spain. We are a very empathetic brand.”
This project has started off easy and now took the lead in becoming the most determined Green Sustainable project that is in the football world. The projects that are now run by the club include making urban gardens, cleaning the Guadalquivir river, and reforesting.
