The Italian coach announced the latest situation of his players in a press conference.
Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi has announced that Felipe Luiz has caught the coronavirus and that Ciro Immobile is ready to return to action.
Lazio has to face Crotone tomorrow, and there were many concerns about players condition. The coronavirus pandemic has infected many players across Europe with the virus, with Inzaghi announcing that his defender Felipe Luiz has also contracted the disease. However, Ciro Immobile test was negative, and he will have no problem accompanying his team to Saturday's game.
“I found him as I had left him, with great desire to play and to make himself available for the team,” Inzaghi said at a press conference.
“I saw him in a good condition, even if he only trained twice with the group. I only saw [Vedat] Muriqi today, and I will decide the starting line-up tomorrow.”
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had previously caught coronavirus in the national team camp. Inzaghi continued: "It will be a busy month for us. There are 10 games before Christmas, all very demanding. We are recovering slowly.
“Today, [Thomas] Strakosha is back, even if I don’t think he will make it for Crotone. Luiz Felipe is out, he has COVID too, after the match against Juventus.
“Milinkovic and [Senad] Lulic will also be missing, as will Escalante, who still needs four to five days.
“There’s discontent [about the players returning positive for COVID after the international break], but many of my colleagues are in the same situation.
