Haaland who is linked with a move to many top clubs is planning to stay in Germany as his father confirms.

Erling Haaland

was wanted by many top clubs but he chose

Borussia Dortmund

as his next club. Many believe that he chose

to use the German club as a stepping stone but he has been a brilliant player for them so far.

He scored many crucial goals for the German side in a very short time and he is loved by the fans of the club. There is a release clause in his contract with

and many top clubs are waiting for the time to come. However, Haaland’s father says that he is happy in

and he is not interested in joining any other side at the moment.

"When you play well, it makes sense for big clubs to knock on your door, but these are just speculation,”

Alf-Inge Haaland

told Sport1.

“We signed a long-term contract with

and then this is a fantastic team for Erling at the moment.

"You never know what can happen [in the future]. I think he wants to win trophies with Borussia.

“That’s his goal. Erling can still achieve much in Germany and make great progress.”

Haaland's contract with the German club expires in 2024 and from 2022 it will be possible to activate a €75m clause to sign him
