Real Madrid ruffled with limited defense choices after Varane's injury

Fri 20 November 2020 | 11:12

Real Madrid is worried about a shoulder injury endured by Raphael Varane while playing for France this midweek.

Varane was subbed for

Les Bleus

at half-time of their

Nations League

success over

Sweden

because of minor shoulder distress and Cadena Cope report that discomfort has not yet disappeared.

While no time span is given on any possible injury, it is asserted there is a worry that the French international will miss Saturday's La Liga fixture against Villarreal, however, the recovery process is not long and he probably will be back for the trip to Milan facing Inter in the Champions League next week.

The news from Marca suggests that

Sergio Ramos

will sit on the bench for the forthcoming games against the

Yellow Submarine

and the

Nerazzurri

 because of a hamstring injury.

Los Blancos has a hectic fixture schedule with two La Liga games per week with Champions League clashes in midweek.

Eder Militao is probably going to come into the firing line-up while

Nacho Fernandez

might be placed in the focal point of the defense, yet is still on the road to recovery from the muscle injury he picked up in the game against Barcelona last month.
