Leicester City

goalkeeper and

Denmark

international,

Kasper Schmeichel

had a scary encounter with an opposing player during the

UEFA Nations League

match against

Iceland

, which worried the fans. But now it has been reported from Denmark that

Kasper

is doing well and he could even play for Leicester in Sunday's game against

Liverpool

.

During the match between

Denmark

and

Iceland

on Sunday, Schmeichel got hit on the head by

Albert Gudmundsson

’s knee caused him to faint on the ground for a while. Schmeichel was substituted off between the two halves.

What allayed those concerns, however, was a video released by the

Danish Football Association

showing

Schmeichel

returning to training with his country's national team and training with enthusiasm:

“It was more for the sake of safety on the doctors' recommendation not to take any chances with it,”

Schmeichel said

“But luckily it was just a blow and it was not as bad as it looked. I've seen it now and it looks a lot worse than it is. I am feeling very good this morning, have slept well and am ready.”

This is the best possible news for Leicester boss

Brendan Rodgers

, whose side face Liverpool next Sunday. However, Schmeichel will also play for Denmark on Wednesday match against
