Gattuso sent off two of his players to the stands as punishment
Napoli head manager Gennaro Gattuso purportedly revealed to Faouzi Ghoulam ‘I don’t care about Mendes’ the point at which he sent the player to the stands against Bologna.
Both
Ghoulam
and
Mario Rui
were shipped off to the stands on November 8 right before
Napoli's 1-0 triumph at
Bologna's Dall'Ara stadium.
“
They stayed in the stands, because they were jogging around in training yesterday. I brought them along anyway, because it’s too easy to just let them stay home and watch it on the couch
.” Gattuso told Sky Sport after the game.
Gattuso
took his choice just before the game and as indicated by Il Corriere dello Sport he told Ghoulam: ‘I don’t care about Jorge’, referring to Mendes who is not only the agent of the Algerian left-back but also represents the coach himself.

They weren’t concentrated or sharp enough in the final training session, so he made this decision. He saw they weren’t entirely on their toes and made this choice
,” said Cristiano Giuntoli, Napoli sports director.
