in April 2019 and spent five months recovering from the injury. The English winger played again for Chelsea in September but after almost a year of playing after the injury, the 20-year-old believes his quality is still affected by this fitness problem.

“I still feel to myself that I’m still improving, obviously still trying to get more strength in the calf, which I lost a lot of muscle from, but I feel like I’m getting back to my best,” he told BT Sport.

“Hopefully, sooner or later, I’ll be back to normal as I was before, but I just want to keep improving, keep working hard daily, and keep getting better day-by-day.”

Since his comeback, Odoi has appeared in 42 matches for Chelsea while missing some periods due to other injuries including a hamstring problem that put him on the sidelines sfor over two months at the start of 2020.
