Buffon Backs Ronaldo to Break Pele’s Record

After reaching Puskas’s goal-scoring record Ronaldo was backed by his Juventus teammate to break one more record.

urged the Portuguese superstar to reach Pele’s record after adding Ferenc Puskas’s record to his list of achievements. Following their friendly match against

Ronaldo reached 102 goals record with only seven goals away from Iran’s former international Ali Daei.

now stands fourth on the all-time goal scorers list sitting behind Pele (767 goals), Romario (772) and Slavia Prague great Josef Bican (805). After his record-breaking performance Buffon asked the 35-year-old to aim for his next target and that is to break Pele’s record.

"Grande CR7issimo!!!" he wrote on Twitter on Thursday. "Congrats for this great achievement my friend, 746 goals are an huuuge amount! You reached Puskas, now you have to get Pele!"
