Ter Stegen comments on his contract renewal with Barcelona

The German goalkeeper of Barcelona is completely satisfied with staying in the club.

, he became Barcelona’s number 1 and in recent years has proven to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

In recent months, there has been a lot of rumors about him, saying that he intends to leave Barca, but he eventually extended his contract until June 30th 2025.

“I want to play at Camp Nou for many more years and continue winning titles,”

Ter Stegen said in an interview

“There is no greater motivation. I hope very soon to be celebrating with our fans.”

The German goalkeeper, who has won

titles with Barcelona so far, including

four

in

La Liga

and

one

in the

Champions League

, added:

“Barcelona has become my home, and my family’s home,”

he continued

“Both on and off the pitch, we’re happy here. It was clear how were going to go.

“My wish, and the wish of Barca, has always been to reach a renewal agreement and continue the story that began back in 2014. It’s not just playing for the biggest club in the world – it’s more than that. The city and its fans have treated me as one of them from the very beginning, and that’s important to me. It’s a feeling I’ll never forget.”
