Graham: "He's got to be in a team that's dominating games and he's got to be on the ball as much as possible."

George Graham blamed the

Arsenal

club in regards to

Mesut Ozil

's contract and stated that the club has no choice other than to "get rid" of the "expensive" midfielder.

Ozil extended his contract with Arsenal for three other seasons in January 2018, and he became the highest-paid player in Arsenal by £350,000 per week.

Ozil was a key player in the squad of Arsene Wenger, but he has been left out of the squad quickly by the entrance of Unai Emery. When Emery was sacked by the new head coach and by the entrance of Mikel Arteta, attempts for the return of Mesut Ozil started.

Ozil played in several matches before coronavirus. But after reopening competitions Arteta left out him of the Premier League's squad.

Graham who is surprised by this contract stated that "It's very difficult. The first thing you say is, 'who is the person who sorted the contract?"

Graham also mentioned that "He's got to be in a team that's dominating games and he's got to be on the ball as much as possible."

In the end, Goerge Graham referred to the effective role of

Mikel Arteta

in the Club and admired him for his good defensive tactics and good transfers that he has made during the transfer market and stated that "I'm very pleased with what he's done recently," and he added that "I like the way they're playing under Arteta. He brought in a very strong midfield player [

Thomas Partey

] and a defender [

Gabriel

] from Brazil. It looks to me that he's spending their money – which is not a lot – very well."
