Granada will play with seven players

Sun 08 November 2020 | 14:34

Granada have asked the Spanish Federation to postpone the next match but their request has been rejected.

Granada

should play a Sunday game without having a full squad. They currently have seven players who can participate for the next match and they've been told that the match will not get postponed.

The seven players consisted of some B team players as well. Because of the Coronavirus restrictions, the rest of the squad and those who travelled with the team to

Cyprus

for the

Europa League

can not be selected.

Granada

are currently sitting in the sixth place, having won four and losing just one match. However, in a statement on Sunday, Granada said the RFEF's competition committee had rejected their request.

They added: "The team will travel to San Sebastian in the next few hours with only seven players in the squad who meet the requirements imposed by

LaLiga

, [the squad] completed with players from the B team and youth team who also meet these requirements."
