Chris Kirkland says Liverpool secured themselves with an “exceptional player” when taking advantage Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. However the former Reds goalkeeper declared that Arsenal only authorized a sale because the midfielder “couldn’t stay fit”.
“We’ve seen him score goals and obviously had some
horrendous luck with injuries
,” ex-Liverpool keeper Kirkland told FootballFanCast.
“But for me he’s an exceptional player and I’d love to see him stay fit.”
The England international moved to Anfield in the summer of 2017.
Before that he spent six years at Emirates Stadium, participating in 198 displays and scoring 20 goals.
Kirkland declares Oxlade-Chamberlain has tolerated “horrendous luck with injuries”, with strength often maintained.
He has witnessed 83 games across three seasons, however he doesn’t play by now due to his knee injury.
