Romagnoli: 'they were better than us'

Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli believes they could learn a lot from their defeat against Lille and use it in the game with Hellas Verona on Sunday.

Milan

’s unbeaten record was stopped by

Lille

, where

Yusuf Yazici

put the ball in the back of the game three times and won 3-0.

Alessio Romagnoli

believes that they need to look at their first defeat since March when they are going to analyze Sunday’s opponents.

The Rossoneri’s captain thinks the defeat against LOSC Lille will ‘certainly be useful’ against

Hellas Verona

this weekend.

“We knew it was a very difficult match, they were better than us,” Romagnoli said. “That’s all, there is no positive streak or any other reason.

“They, like Verona, have pace, play very aggressive and fast. It will certainly be useful.”

Romagnoli had returned from his injury and since then has played three games in Serie A and is happy that the difficult period is behind him.

“It was quite serious, I thought I could return sooner but then it dragged on,” he added. “The important thing is that it’s all over.

“I honestly want to play all the games, then it’s up to the coach to decide. I feel ready and I feel good, it’s up to me to prove it on the pitch."
