Arteta Begs for More

The Spanish coach expects more from his player Pepe.

Arsenal

coach

Mikel Arteta

wishes more consistency from his player

Nicholas Pepe

after their Europa League win. The Reds player who was able to score one of their winning goals against

Molde

joined Arsenal last year for a £72 million deal. So far the Ivory Coast international has two assists and two goals in Europa League competition.

During a recent press conference

Arteta

admitted that he wants more from both Pepe and the rest of his players because he believes they can do better. According to the Spaniard if they don’t start adapting this mindset that they can do better they won’t be able to improve.

"Consistency throughout the game, throughout 90 minutes, in every game, in the final third, the final product has to be better not just from him," Arteta told a news conference.

"We have to put higher demands at the moment. He scored a great goal and another assist and he can do more so he's on the right path.

"In general consistency wise in the final third we have to finish more things better and we can improve a lot. That goes to every single player.

"Nico scored three goals and he could score 10. Willy [Joe Willock] the same, three assists, he needs 10. If we don't have that mindset we can't become the team we want to be."

For their next match Arsenal will face

Aston Villa

in their

Premier League

competition.
