Joe Cole claims that Tammy Abraham has caused Chelsea boss Frank Lampard “a great problem” through his play guiding the stripe in a 3-0 Champions League victory against Rennes.
The front man of the England international was forced to be preserving this season when he was kept waiting for the regular competitions.
Prolific German striker
has come in and nailed down anentered the play and established a very significant representation in Lampard’s plans.
He is, however, his efficient performance refers to a wide attacking role similar to a central berth.
Because of a continental grapple with Rennes, Werner was sent back out to the left. Instead, Abraham was fit in the middle.
“It’s a great problem for Frank,” former Blues winger Cole told BT Sport.
“All the front players are scoring and making a case, and the midfielders are getting on the ball. Tammy has given Frank something to think about.”
“He kept at it and his movement was good. He didn’t do it in the first half but his goal was not easy to take.”
Chelsea are still keep waiting for Kai Havertz to look for a spark. By now, he is making himself isolated due Covid-19.
He added: “It was a run-of- the-mill Champions League group game. If you have designs to win the competition, you need to be able to comfortably beat Rennes.
“There was good composure, moving the ball from side to side and probing.”
Chelsea will come back in Premier League on Saturday when taking him a domestic meting with Sheffield United.
