Lille owner is in debt to Elliott fund

Tonight Milan and LOSC Lille meet each other while the latter owes €117m to Elliott fund.

It has been revealed that Gerard Lopez,


patron, owes €117m to Elliott fund ,the official proprietor of

AC Milan


It all started when Les Dogues was in a crisis a couple of years ago and a debt of €249m and Elliott fund decided to help the French club.

By saving Lille and with Paul Singer loaning €117m for the capital increase, Gerard Lopez is now in debt and has to repay it by August 2021.

Now the two sides, Milan and LOSC Lille, are meeting each other in the Europa League group state at San Siro and both has been unbeaten so far.
