Klopp Defends Firmino after Liverpool Win against Atalanta.

After their Champions League win against their opponent, Liverpool’s coach rushes into Firmino’s defense.

Roberto Firmino who was benched in Liverpool’s Champions League game against Atalanta was backed by Jurgen Klopp saying that the player’s form was not the reason for his choice. Firmino who replaced by Jota scoring three out of their five goals against Atalanta was praised by Klopp and according to the coach the starting 11 were chosen based on a decision of good performance and he is glad he made that call. The German further added that eventhough Jota displayed an amazing performance it is no reason to thrash his other teammates for his game.

Liverpool’s coach also talked about the team’s injuries and how he is happy that he has Rhys Williams in the heart of his defense now that Van Dijk is out of the pitch.
