Lazio

is being under investigation by FIGC it it could cost them from fines to exclusion from the championship.

After another setback for the Aquile prior to their match with

Zenit St. Petersburg

in the Champion League, the FIGC has intervened and started an investigation.

There is likely a violation of health protocol during the pandemic and

Ciro Immobile

,

Lucas Leiva

and

Thomas Strakosha

are probably involved because they were banned to travel with the team to Russia by UEFA and also were not able to play in the match in Bruges last week.

However, their negative swab tests results have allowed them to be able to play in the game against

Torino

in Serie A and win 4-3 in which Immobile scored a goal towards the end.

The president Claudio Lotito and club medic Ivo Pulcini has been interviewed by the Prosecutor’s Office prior to acquiring the reports of the swab tests which were carried out before games against Bruges and Torino.

The swab test results from yesterday have been sent over to the FIGC. The important thing now is how serious the violation is assessed. Because it is assessed according to the health risk for players, staff, referees and all of the people who are exposed to the COVID-19 virus and the range of the penalty is from fines to exclusion from the championship.
