Tuchel said: “Mbappe not set for prolonged spell out”

Tue 03 November 2020 | 20:05

Thomas Tuchel is not expecting Kylian Mbappe to withstand a long spell out the sidelines

After the “muscle discomfort” that happened to

Mbappe

during the clash against

Nantes

in last weekend, he was left out of the

PSG

squad.

Mbappe has been involved in 22 away goals more than any other play in the competition since he started to play in the Champions League.

When

Tuchel

was asked about if he could be without such an important player for longer than expected, he responded: "It will not be longer. The injury is very minor,

"Unfortunately, he is in a risk zone. The doctor explained this to me. He couldn't be with the team. It's a shame for us. We can't take risks, that would have been too much. And we have to find solutions without Kylian."

PSG were without failure in their past six away matches in the group stage. They will play against

Leipzig

on Wednesday.

They won over Leipzig 3-0 in the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
