Barcelona faced with worse monetary conditions. To be able to sign new contracts, they have to sell some of their players in January.
Temporary president Carles Tusquets talked to the media on Monday, calmingthat his men must be more creative in order to have new players.
“If we sell during the winter transfer window, we will be able to buy. We can also sign players who are out of contract. That is the situation,” Tusquets said.
Tusquets has taken control for short time eover Camp Nou after the leaving of Josep Maria Bartomeu and hiswhole team last week.
After the transfer window restarts, Barcelona will have a hard responsibility to add some foreign players to their group.
One of those suggested players is Lyon star Memphis Depay.
Depay's contract with Lyon will end at season's end and Barca are also planning for two players from the Premier League whose deal will be expiring: Manchester City defender Eric Garcia and Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.
Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman is also eager to come to Depay and Wijnaldum, players he managed when he was teaming with the Netherlands.
The Argentina international is going to extend a contract with the Nerazzurri.
Tusquets said: “I think we can reach an agreement. It seems to me that there is a willingness to do so. We do not want to take money from anyone but to adjust salaries so we can pay them when possible – this is the solution we think is the most viable given the circumstances."
