Tue 03 November 2020 | 10:22

UEFA is negotiating in regards to Russia's hosting for holding the next summer's European Championship

According to Le Parisian,

UEFA

intends to hold

Euro 2021

in

Russia

instead of twelve European cities which were confirmed at first to be host the EURO 2020, including St. Petersburg, London, Munich, Baku, Rome, Bucharest, Dublin, Copenhagen, Bilbao, Glasgow, Budapest and Amsterdam, but based on the alternate plan which was drawn up, Russia would be the only choice for hosting the competitions.

The decision was made due to Russia's success in hosting 2018 World Cup, and in delicate situation of the World due to Covid-19 infection and travel restrictions which are still evident at the present time and may remain, as a result UEFA stated that Russia would be a well-qualified choice for hosting such a competition.
