Danny Ings’ injury scan is ‘favourable’

Knee injury of Danny Ings is announced not be serious as it is reported beforehand.

Ings, the twenty year old striker of Southampton, was replaced  in the 85th minute of the 4-3 Premier League win at Aston Villa on Sunday.

As the game finished, Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl declared his left knee injury did not "look good".

On Monday, however, it was reported that "the initial results" of Ings' scan "are favourable.”

 

 

Southampton continued that, "After having the scan on Sunday night, the club conducted a further assessment of Ings this morning and will continue to monitor him throughout the week."

 

Ings undergoes another another scan. But, it is not yet clear that he can play against

Newcastle

on Friday.

 

 During the last season, the England striker scored 22 goals. It is recorded one behind golden boot winner Jamie Vardy, and has five in seven games so far this year, including Saints' fourth against Villa.
