Bayern officials has decided to end talks over the extension of David Alaba’s contract.

will expire by the end of the current season and the Austrian defender’s future at the club is in serious doubt as the Herbert Heiner the president of the club has declared that negotiations with Alaba’s agent has come to an end and no agreement has been reached. The club had previously declared a deadline of 31 October for the agreement but Alaba’s wage demands has gotten in the way of signing a new deal with the Bavarians. The 28-year-old defender has been linked with multiple clubs, most notablyJuventus
but he will be able to start negotiating with another club for a free transfer until January. In an interview with BR24Sport, Herbert Heiner has spoken about Alaba’s contract situation and the negotiations with the player’s agent Pini Zahavi.
“We presented him with a really, very good very fair, competitive offer - especially during these times,
“We told David’s agent during the last meeting that we wanted clarity and an answer by the end of October, because we want to plan for such an important position and personnel. But we didn’t hear anything.
“Our sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic then contacted the agent and the answer was that the offer is still unsatisfying and that we should think more.
“We then decided to take the offer off the table completely. That means there is no longer any offer.”
It remains to be seen whether Bayern’s coach Hansi Flick would still use the 28-year-old defender in his squad or he will be replaced by another player for the rest of the season.
