Arsenal boss has spoken about his team’s performance against Arsenal and his thoughts about the way they managed to win the crucial match.

Arsenal

showed more quality compared to

Manchester United

in their Premier league match on Sunday and got rewarded by a 1-0 victory as

Aubameyang

scored from the penalty spot for the Gunners. With this victory Mikel Arteta became the second Arsenal manager who has won his two first matches against Manchester United, the first one being Herbert Chapman who did the same in the 20s. In a post-match interview, Arteta has spoken about his side’s performance and his confidence in the team.

"I’m delighted because we played with a lot of courage and big personality," Arteta told BBC's Match Of The Day.

"Individually you have to win the fights and step up to the occasion and the performance of every player today was top drawer.

"I wanted to generate belief and I asked the players to be who we are as a team right now.

"We could have scored twice in the first half and when we scored the goal we had to manage those moments. There was high stress, it is different to any other ground."

Arsenal will play against Molde in the Europa League before continuing their Premier League campaign with a match against

Aston Villa

five days later.
