Coman ambitious to celebrate another treble but this time with fans

Tue 27 October 2020 | 12:00

Bayern Munchen star has spoken about the last season’s historic treble and the team’s desire to recreate their success when fans would be allowed in the stadiums again.

The coronavirus pandemic effected European football in a lot of ways but the most important aspect of it was the rules that prevented the supporters from watching the games in the stadiums.

Bayern Munchen

however enjoyed their last season campaign as they managed to win Bundesliga, DFB- Pokal and Champions League. The club completed their treble season in the Champions League final clash against

PSG

as they were playing behind the closed doors.

Kingsley Coman

scored the only goal of the final game and was named as the ‘man of the match’. The French winger has continued his fine performances for the club as he scored two goals and assisted another one in their last week’s Champions League opener against

Atletico Madrid

. The Bavarians won against the Spanish club with a crushing 4-0 result. As Bayern Munchen are preparing themselves for their second Champions League match against Lokomotive Moscow, Kingsley Coman has expressed his desire to replicate their treble in the 2020-21 season.

"Of course, we want to win every year. We did the treble last season. Unfortunately, it was without fans," Coman told CBS Sports.

"Perhaps they will be allowed back next year. We want to accomplish exactly the same, just in front of our supporters.

"We need to win as often as we can. I need to play better, to improve my skills, score more goals, provide more assists and all of that. If we can finish the season the way that we did last campaign, though, that would be amazing.

"It is not an easy group. We know that the Champions League is never easy. That said, we will try to replicate last season, win most of our matches and every game – if we can."

Bayern Munchen will be playing against Lokomotive Moscow on Tuesday before continuing their Bundesliga campane with a match against

FC Koln

four days later.
