Sergio Ramos negotiations on renewing the contract are still on halt.
The Spanish icon has played 656 games for Real Madrid since his 2005 transfer from Sevilla, five La Liga and four Champions League trophies in the last 15 seasons.
Nonetheless, his present arrangement at the Santiago Bernabeu is expected to terminate toward the end of the 2020-2021 season, and talks over a continuation are not moving forward at the moment.
The 34-year-old La Roja defender is looking for a long term extension as a major aspect of the arrangements, however, as indicated by the reports in the last week, Real Madrid is focused on a year bargain.
The club's stance reflects their approach of proposing one-year contract augmentations to players more than 30-year-old, paying little heed to their status in the squad.
The two sides are probably going to reach an agreement next year, although, it's unlikely to happen until January 2021.
