Hoffenheim and Dortmund met in the fourth week of the Bundesliga, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Dortmund. The captain of Dortmund, Marco Reus, alongside Erling Braut Haaland both started the game sitting on the substitutes’ bench and entered the match in the second half. This perfect combination changed the results for Dortmund’s victory on 76 minutes. Scoring this goal Lucien Favre’s team gained the second place in Bundesliga. Farvre celebrated his 300th Bundesliga match as a manager.
Lucas Pischke’s injury intrupted the play on 21st minute and Lucas was replaced with midfielder Thomas Delini in a forced substitution. Following this win, Dortmund has reached into second place with nine points, one behind RB Leipzig. Bayern Munich can proceed ahead of Dortmund if they defeat Arminia Bielefeld.
