Ronaldo hits back at claims about breaking covid-19 Protocols
Cristiano Ronaldo was claimed by Italy’s sport minister to have broken the rules about Covid-19 isolation earlier this week. Some of the Italian sport newspapers reported that the Portuguese superstar has flied back to Turin after the result of his covid-19 test was informed to him. The 35-year-old was informed about his positive result when he was in international duty with Portugal last Sunday. Juventus officials have backed their striker by stating that his flight to Italy was fully authorized by the health authorities and he will continue his isolation period at home. Ronaldo himself also hit back at the criticisms made by Italy media by speaking on a live video on his official Instagram account.
“I'm always at home, now I'm sunbathing, also to let the days pass. I'm respecting the protocol, I did not break it, as has been said: It's a lie.
"I returned from Portugal because my team and I made sure to comply with all the procedures. I returned to Italy by air ambulance and I have had no contact with anyone, even in Turin.
"My family is on another floor of the house, we can't be in contact"
