Ed Woodward prepared to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
In the 2020-21 PL season, Manchester United have been defeated in two of their first three matches, including a 6-1 home loss against Tottenham Hotspur.
As per The Mirror, if the manager is unsuccessful to track a reversal of results in the course of the next few weeks, Woodward will have no shame in sacking the club's former player.
However, the report says that Mauricio Pochettino is already being tracked by the Red Devils, and if offered the chance to succeed Solskjaer, the Argentine will be able to parachute in.
heading to face Newcastle United on October 17, Manchester United will be planning to go back to a title challenge in England's Premier League ahead of starting their Champions League season away to PSG.
As the Argentine appears out of action after Spurs fired him last year, the Red Devils are apparently monitoring the progress on Pochettino's case. Considering the game against Spurs the poor result, Solskjaer stated: "It's not really good at all. And you just have to look at yourself in the mirror anytime youhave a disappointment like this, as has happened at the club previously.
"They're lucky today, the players, because some of them are going away on international duty, and we have a decent amount of time to work with those who remain here."
"However, for 10 days we won't see each other and it's difficult today as we need to secure the hatches to get together."
