Manchester United are facing financial uncertainty but are confident that they can sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund although the concern is if a deal will be completed now or next summer.
It's no more news that clubs are dealing with financial concerns due to the COVID-19 crisis and it remains to be seen if the Red Devils will be able to pull off the transfer of Sancho to Old Trafford with Dortmund requesting for $141 million.
It's all down to the Red Devils to meet the valuation as the Signal Iduna Park outfit are ready to wait until next summer if no deal is done in the coming months.
Manchester United do not only have Sancho in mind as they also have eyes on Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish. However, Villa are demanding $103 million for the 24-year-old after surviving relegation and will have a go in the Premier League next season.
With the financial constraints, Man United must now make one of the players a priority, andSky Sports
have claimed that they will focus on a move for Sancho.
Dortmund are already resigned to losing the English winger and will be on the lookout for possible replacements. This could be a decent option forfootball prediction sites
to predict as the Bundesliga club are reportedly monitoring Lille OSC forward Jonathan Ikone who is presently valued at $58 million.
Meanwhile, Sancho's contract at Dortmund will expire in 2022 and the Bundesliga outfit are not under any pressure to let him go with Man United being the only club to have expressed concrete interest in him thus far.
No formal offer has been received for Jadon Sancho and Dortmund do not appear ready to reduce their valuation of the player. However, if United eventually can not meet up with the demands for Sancho, they've identified an alternative in Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman.
Regardless, Man United's qualification to next season's UEFA Champions League has put them in good standing to make a move for Sancho who will be attracted by their place in the competition. It remains to be seen how the Red Devils pull this deal through.
Sky Sports News' James Cooper has also expressed his opinion on the Red Devils' potential move for Jadon Sancho:
"There's no doubt their No 1 target is Jadon Sancho, and I think they've ticked a massive box in having Champions League football because that's attractive to someone like him, and I think it's perhaps a deal that can be done."
