According to AS, Real Madrid are planning to make Kylian Mbappe their big-name signing in 2020 as they are turning back to the Galacticos model.
Obtaining Kylian Mbappe remains a target for the Real Madrid directors, but it is a long-term goal and is currently marked for 2020.
It’s obvious that Los Blancos do not want to enter into a battle with Paris Saint-Germain over him and they're apparently waiting for favorable circumstances to come about.
On the other hand Nasser Al-Khelaifi has announced that Mbappe is not leaving the club. The star himself hasn't said anything else about his future after his comments about wanting more responsibility and about being open to new challenges as well.
Anyway there’s no doubt that the situation at PSG has changed through the past few months, but as obvious the Real Madrid directors want to avoid any missteps that may jeopardise the long-term pursuit of the Frenchman.
