The 30-year-old Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award.
Aubameyang took his league tally to seven with the equalizer at Old Trafford on Monday, one shy of Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
The Gabon international has been nominated alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kevin de Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, John McGinn, Heung-Min Son, Ricardo Perreira, and Callum Wilson.
The nomination comes as no surprise, and with the Gunners’ huge following, along with the striker’s form, he’s in with a real shot of winning the award.
His goals have won Arsenal all 12 of their points from the opening seven fixtures, and without him, things would’ve been a lot different at the Emirates.
Aubameyang was also nominated last month but lost out to Norwich City’s Teemu Pukki. However, following another impressive month, he could be in line for a second Player of the Month award with the Gunners, after previously picking up the prize in October 2018.
